This is a blog where we call the world's youngest oppressors out on their privilege and explain why their blatant abuse of others is not okay at any age. Remember, intent is not magic! There is no excuse for the horrid behavior displayed by these bigoted youngsters.

Okay, so I know there’s been a lot of controversy over this picture in the mouse community, and I’ve decided to finally state my opinion on it. I don’t think the snake in this picture was wrong. Mammals always have privilege over reptiles, and my guess is that the mouse used a specieist slur which provoked the snake before they struck. Reptiles have the right to use violence against their oppressors. Even though the snake has more physical strength than the mouse, the snake does not have the political power that the mouse does. The mouse is still the oppressor in this situation, and I don’t think the snake can be blamed for lashing out.

Wild Wednesday

It has come to my attention that I have been focusing too much on human children on this blog. Animal children, though less privileged, can also be oppressive towards each other. Sexism, specieism, colorism, tailism, domesticism - all are problems within the animal community that need to be addressed, and I’ve decided to allot one day a week to do this. Today is that day.

Note: The term “wild” is an offensive term that has been reclaimed by the animal community. It is NOT acceptable for non-animals to use this word in any context.

Before I go to bed, I really need to rant about the amount of cissexism and homophobia within the Blues Clues fandom. I’m always hearing fans saying “oh, I thought Blue was a boy and Magenta was his girlfriend,” and it absolutely disgusts me. These people are obviously adhering to ridiculous gender standards such as “blue is for boys” and “pink is for girls,” stereotypes which are known to literally kill people.

And to make things worse, upon finding out Blue and Magenta are both female, these ignorant fans somehow decide Magenta is not Blue’s girlfriend, but simply her playmate. Why? The obvious reason - homophobia. These fans, who actively hate non-straight humans and animals alike, must cringe at the thought of two bitches being together (bitch of course being the preferred term for a female dog, another important detail the series’ fans seem to reject).

Basically, most if not all of the series’ fanbase should drown in liquid shit for being such shitty, non-progressive, hateful and bigoted people. But, you know, what did I expect from the fans of a series whose main protagonist is a cis white male?
